Patterns of thinking that we have developed and reinforced throughout our entire lifetime can keep us stuck in patterns of behaving that perpetuate the very problems we are trying to solve. CBT challenges these thinking patterns that might or might not be serving us anymore. Increasing awareness around our outdating thinking is the first step in changing the outdated behaviors that cause us so much grief. When our awareness is raised, we can start trying on new ways of thinking and new ways of behaving. The results can be empowering and life-changing.
